Senior Product Design Engineer / Technology Project Manager - Jan 2008 - Present

 

Technical leadership and full lifecycle project management lead for Bloomberg’s hardware product suite, which includes LCD Monitors, Keyboards and Portable Biometric Devices.

 

  • Concept - Develop product requirements and collaborate with industrial design, UX, and engineering teams to define form factor and technology options.  

  • Design and Engineering - Manage engineering efforts across ID, ME, EE, SW and UX disciplines. Review and approve CAD models, mechanical drawings, electrical schematics and PCB layouts.  Evaluate tradeoffs and make critical design decisions. Produce prototypes for Design Verification/Validation and stakeholder review.  

  • NPI - Oversee contract manufacturing partners and suppliers to ensure execution and alignment between development and production.  Establish timelines and track progress towards project milestones.  Report status updates detailing progress, issues/concerns and solutions to stakeholders.  

  • MP and Support - Transition ownership of product to supply chain and quality teams.  Assist when required to troubleshoot engineering or manufacturing issues.

ActionToday.org -  Political Postcards

Designed and launched website for users to design and author custom postcards to send to their representatives in the federal government.  Over XXX Political Postcards were sent to the President and members of congress through the ActionToday website, on topics such as the environment, immigration, healthcare and  government ethics.

GiveSimply.org - Charitable Giving Made Easy

Developed mobile charitable giving startup concept through Founder’s Institute, founder bootcamp.  The GiveSimply app would provide tools to assemble a personal portfolio of charities and automate charitable donations.  FI organized peer and mentor workshops covering market and customer research, business planning, product development, financing and extensive pitch practice.

Evolvems - Transforming Evolution Science Plush Toys

​

Designed, manufactured and sold a line of evolution science based reversible plush toys.  Created all product design documents and marketing collateral from websites and packaging to trade show displays.  Participated in the International Toy Fair in 2009 and 2010, and distributed toys through websites such as Thinkgeek.com and museums including the American Museum of Natural History.
